Seltene Erstausgabe. - Heinrich Scheu (1845 - 1926) stammte aus der kinderreichen Handwerkerfamilie Scheu, deren Angehörige in der österreichischen Sozialdemokratie z.T. eine bedeutende Rolle spielten. - Buch über den Wiener Hochverratsprozess, der sich gegen vierzehn Arbeiterfunktionäre und Anführer der Sozialdemokratischen Arbeiterpartei, unter ihnen Heinrich Oberwinder, Johann Most, Andreas Scheu, Papst und Perrin richtete. Die Angeklagten waren die Organisatoren der Protestkundgebung vor dem Reichsratsgebäude, die am 13. Dezember 1869 stattfand. An der Kundgebung nahmen 20.000 Menschen teil und forderten politische und gewerkschaftliche Rechte ein. Die Organisatoren wurden wegen Hochverrats angeklagt und verurteilt.
