He has also 'looked for a collection I made myself once - but altho I have found all kinds of things which I thought I had lost for ever I cannot find it'. He lists seven 'minor autographs' he is sending her, including '(7) The late Earl of Denbigh to Bish of Patterson - This letter led to the capture of a famous impostor, who died immediately afterwards in Clerkenwell Gaol'. He apologises for the two-day delay in finishing the letter, adding: 'I'm teaching a small boy his catechism, trying to correct 30 or 40 History papers & practising 3 boys in a farce "a Night on Snowdon" which they have to perform on Friday'. He ends in the hope that she is 'well and flourishing and did not lose too much at the races'.
