Der Widmungsträger Gustav Hinke (1844 -1893) war ab 1867 Solo-Oboist des Gewandhausorchesters zu Leipzig. Als Kollege von Schreck übte er von 1882 - 1893 das Lehramt für Oboe am gleichen Institut wie jener aus. - Einriss im Titelblatt der Klavierstimme ausgebessert.

His first cantata for Easter Sunday, it was later revised in Leipzig in 1724 and 1725 with additional instrumental parts in order to harness the rich musical resources available to the composer. The original version has not survived. The piano reduction for this vocal score was completed by Gustav Schreck, and the edition was edited by John Ebenezer West.
