George Peries became Coach Perles and continued on as the student coach for the Green and White. Coach Perles' career began its meteoric rise when in 1972 he was hired by the Pittsburgh Steelers and became Chuck Noll's defensive line coach. Throughout the '70s, the Steelers' defence dominated under Perles and in 1979, he was promoted to assistant head coach. This book goes behind the scenes to explore the successes and challenges that Coach Peries faced in his career, including the trying finish to his career.…
