"At ACOA he spearheaded numerous campaigns supporting African struggles for liberation and independence. Since 1954 he. made over 30 trips to Africa. His support of liberation movements led him to develop close ties with many African leaders. He served on the Advisory Committee of the African Activist Archive Project." [per Wikipedia].

Facsimile reprints of the first two years of this journal. Light smudge mark top corner of free endpaper and otherwise, contents are in fine condition. Tiny bump to spine tail, light rubbing lower edge, light outside dusting lower edge. Framfari was an Icelandic language newspaper published in a log printshop in Riverton, Manitoba, and was the first Icelandic newspaper in North America. It strove to inform the readership, educate the settlers in agricultural methods, foster a progressive attitude, and inspire loyalty among the early Icelandic settlers. It was only published for three years, and ceased publication on January 30, 1880 due to the internal divisions at the newspaper.
