Añadir al carritoPaperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book examines the evolution of agricultural education in American secondary schools, focusing on the inclusion of related programs from their inception in the early 1900s to their expansion in the years following the passage of the Smith-Hughes Act of 1917. Beginning with the offering of informational, non-vocational agricultural courses to the development of the "home project method" of instruction, the author analyzes the objectives, challenges, and successes of vocational agricultural education in the United States and its critical role in the larger conversation regarding the American high school curriculum and the needs of students heading into the workforce immediately upon graduation. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

While Edwards intended for the first book, A Natural History of Uncommon Birds, to complete his work on ornithological history, he was persuaded to extend his work, thus Gleanings of Natural History was added. The work is considered incomplete without both works presented together, as they are here. Considered at its date of issue ".one of the most important of all Bird Books, both as a Fine Bird Book and a work of Ornithology." It remains one of the most important works.
