This edition was limited to 1000 copies and was designed and printed by Lawton Kennedy of San Francisco. This copy is in fine condition with the decorated cloth boards showing virtually no sign of wear or damage and the book is now protected by a clear plastic jacket. The interior of the book shows a paper label attached to the front pastedown but beyond that the text pages are in fine condition. This printing features the illustrations by Lewis Choris and two route maps at the end of the volume that illustrates the ocean routing of the 1775 voyage along the California coast and the dates where the ship put in to shore at various points along the coast.
