Hardcover. Condición: Near Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. 1st Edition. A visually inventive and award-winning nonfiction picture book that presents fascinating insect facts through bold typography and graphic design. Each spread integrates numbers directly into the artwork - bees formed from repeating '66's, ants built from sequences, butterflies mapped in numerical stages - creating an engaging blend of design, mathematics, and entomology. Published by Blue Apple Books, known for high-concept illustrated children's titles, this work received the 2009 Parents' Choice Gold Book Award (Silver Honor, New York Book Show; Best Book Award, Children's Trade), and remains a standout example of early 21st-century educational design publishing. Book is Near Fine. Boards are clean and bright with only minor shelf-edge wear. Interior pages are crisp and unmarked except for a neatly handwritten name 'HANN' at the top of the first page and a library reference label. No tears or loose pages. Binding tight and square. Dust Jacket: Present and protected in a clear plastic library cover. Jacket itself is in Near Fine condition beneath the cover, showing minimal edge wear. Library reference number label present on jacket; plastic protector intact. First edition, 2011. No later printing statements observed; presumed first printing based on publisher's format and number line. Sharon Werner and Sarah Foss are award-winning designers and cofounders of the design studio Werner Design Werks. They are known for transforming typography and numerical patterns into striking visual narratives. Their earlier work, Alphabeasties, established their signature method of integrating language and image into playful, educational art books for children.…
