They are as close to "as-new" as you will ever find a copy of this book available for. The book is clean and bright, never read, never used, never even placed on a store shelf. The titles on the spines show almost no white paint, of which this book is notorious for. It now appears this is not because the paint had flaked off over time, but instead the lack of quality control by the publisher - as these books were pulled out of the box this way, with no paint chip or residue seen in the box. This copy also has a very small tear in the bottom edge of the front board and some light smudge marks - all of which were like this when we pulled it out of the original packaging. See photos.
