Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Like New. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fine. First Edition. A collector's First Edition. Signed "Barry Fey 12/21/11" (copies with signature only quite scarce). Backstage Past will take you backstage into the dressing rooms and behind the scenes with the world's greatest rock stars and legendary promoter, Barry Fey. Long before corporate greed took over the rock concert business and caused ticket prices to skyrocket, Barry Fey and his company Feyline Concerts were promoting shows with ticket prices under $10 for The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, U2 and many others. Always concerned that his audiences had the best experience possible, he was honored a never equaled three consecutive years by Billboard Magazine; as Concert Promoter of the Year in 1978 through 1980. During Barry Fey's 32 years as a promoter he has rubbed elbows and cut deals with nearly every legend of Rock 'n Roll and in Backstage Past he shares those behind the scenes stories of a mercurial business during a tumultuous time. It is a backstage pass to never before revealed tales of the Rock `n Roll business and its performers. This book includes an original poem by U2 great Bono. Forewords by Pete Townshend and Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne. In addition, the underside of the dustjacket unfolds to a 2' x 3' poster of historic concert passes and tickets. Signed by Author.

Añadir al carritoFirst Edition. Original privately printed 119 page shooting script for the Robin Williams film Man of the Year written and directed by Barry Levinson. Signed by Robin Williams to members of the crew: ÒTo Susan & Jim, thank you, Robin WilliamsÓ at a color photo of Robin Williams in character. Beautifully bound in full navy leather with red and silver stamping to the front board and spine, decorative endpapers, 8 5/8 inches by 11 1/4 inches. All edges are gilt. Faint handling, else fine. Unbeknownst to the many admirers of Robin Williams was that he was a lover of books. Over the years, Williams had his own private press specially printing on fine papers and handsomely binding editions of the screenplays of some of the films he appeared in. They were all printed in very small quantities. Williams would sign them and then they would be sent to members of the cast and crew of the productions. As a unique item, this is a special opportunity to honor and celebrate WilliamsÕs love of his craft, his love of books, and his appreciation of the people who helped to bring his films to life. Man of the Year was written and directed by Barry Levinson, starring Robin Williams, Laura Linney, Lewis Black, Christopher Walken, Jeff Goldblum, and Tina Fey. The film tells the story of a comedian (Williams) who hosts a news satire program who decides to run for president, and a computerized voting machine gets him elected.
