Seit 1833 studirte er Medicin in Königsberg i. Pr. und in Berlin, wurde 1837 zum Doctor promovirt. Im folgenden Jahre bestand er die medicinische Staatsprüfung, wurde 1842 Kreisphysicus in Insterburg, 1858 Regierungs-Medicinalrath in Gumbinnen, später in Danzig. An letzterem Orte ist er, 55 Jahre alt, am 4. April 1871 gestorben. Seine Inaugural-Dissertation betraf die Nerven der Muscheln ('De nervis concharum')." Deutsche Biographie.
