Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the history of the prison system, tracing its evolution from harsh punishment to a focus on rehabilitation. The author, a renowned expert in the field of penology, examines the philosophical underpinnings of various penal systems, including solitary confinement and congregate imprisonment. The book also explores the impact of these systems on the physical and mental well-being of inmates, shedding light on the complexities of the criminal justice system and the challenges it faces in balancing punishment and rehabilitation. The author argues that a humane and effective prison system should prioritize the well-being of both inmates and society as a whole, emphasizing the importance of education, vocational training, and mental health services in reducing recidivism and promoting successful reintegration into society. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. …

(R. Roca, Sonderbund, Abschn. 3, Sonderbundskrieg, in: HLS). Zürich 1913) in Abschn. …
