Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. The Etching Club Ilustrador. 45 Pages. Illustrated by The Etching Club. This classic old Oliver Goldsmith book comes in brown boards with gold lettering on the front cover and gold gilted closed book page edges (top, side, and bottom) all of which are in very good condition. The exterior book's detriments are worn areas at the top and bottom of its spine, and 2 moderately worn corners, (top two) and two more worn corners at the bottom. The inside book, however, other than lightly tanned pages, is in a very well-preserved condition with no visible extraneous markings, detriments, or other distractions and thus all of the printing and numerous illustrations are all in very good shape and the book's bindings remain tight and therefore are sound. If you order this classic piece of fiction from us, we will carefully wrap it up, then pad and box it and mail it right away to you with both insurance and tracking and it will come with our utmost appreciation for your order.

Añadir al carrito2pp, 12mo. In good condition, lightly aged. Folded once. Addressed to 'E Gambart Esq' and endorsed by the recipient. Two years earlier Gambart had published 'Passages from the Poems of Thomas Hood', illustrated with 34 plates by the Junior Etching Club (of which Whistler was a member between 1857 and 1862). The book had been well-received, but the letter makes clear that it had not covered its costs. It begins: 'My dear Sir | (Junior Etching Club) | At the meeting of this Club, on Wednesday last, I submitted to them your suggestion as to the sale of the remaining copies of the "Hood's Poems", with the plates. | The Club think it most desirable to dispose of the books still on hand, so as to cover the amount of the balance still due to you. But they decidedly object to the plates being included in the sale.' He asks him to effect for the Club 'the arrangement of the affair in that manner', and asks him to deal with him directly, 'the Club having empowered me to settle the matter with you on the best terms possible'.
