This is a poem about hunting (opera cynegetica) that was very popular in the 16th century. This is the 1808 edition with several numbers: Collection number 137, Book number 519. It has five cantos dedicated to different aspects of hunting. The fifth canto deals specifically with falconry, the different kinds of hawks used for the hunt, hawk/falcon training, and remedies for illnesses.
