Añadir al carritoEstado de la sobrecubierta: dj. First Edition. Octavo. 21.5cm. Publisher's original red cloth titled in black and gilt to spine and front board. Dustjacket. [x]; 438pp. Exceptionally clean and bright in vivid red cloth with only the lightest scuffing and edgewear to extremities, gilt bright; internally clean, with a red ink "Special" stamp to the front flyleaf, purpose unknown; in a smart, strong dustjacket with some areas of soiling to the mostly off-white design, a little marginal wear and creasing, with some unnecessary pre-emptive tape reinforcement to the verso of the jacket. A very good, handsome copy indeed. Essentially a highly academic analysis of communist (read; Soviet) attempts to infiltrate, manipulate, and recruit Jewish groups and communities as a stepping stone to the spread of communist interests between the end of WW1 and the US entry into WW2. Jewish prevalence among labor groups, unions, activist groups, and in fact what the Soviet eye saw as simply Western capitalist mechanisms, placed them prominently, according to Epstein, on the list of groups to be infiltrated and disrupted for "Communist" gain.
