A remarkably well-preserved set, apparently little used; ribbons with only minimal fraying, slight rubbing to the lower spine-cap of Volume II, otherwise in excellent condition. A rare surviving second volume of the official Dominican Breviary issued under the authority of Fr. Emmanuel Suarez, Master General of the Order of Preachers. Produced for use according to the traditional Dominican Rite, it belongs to the last generation of Dominican liturgical books printed before the reforms of the Second Vatican Council. Individual volumes are seldom encountered on the market, and this example, preserved in great condition, is an especially desirable survival.…
