Paperback. 256 pagina's. Net, strak en fris exemplaar. De succesvolle titel 'The Tourism Phenomenon; Past, Present, Future' is in 2008 opnieuw herzien. 777g. …

Soft cover. Condición: Good. 3rd Edition. Scarce English-language edition, paperback, 256 pages, illustrated, NOT ex-library. Good condition with unmarked text and firm binding, free of inscriptions and stamps. Wear to the tips of corners. Straight spine. -- This is a study of tourism as a global phenomenon, with a particular focus on Europe, tracing its development from early forms of travel through to contemporary mass tourism and its projected future trajectories. The author approaches the subject from a broad sociocultural and economic perspective, situating tourism within wider processes of modernisation, globalisation and cultural exchange rather than treating it solely as an industry or commercial activity. Originally published in Dutch, the English edition was substantially revised and updated for contemporary educational use.
