The author contends that the teachings at Trinity are not Tractarian, but rather in accordance with the teachings of the Church of England since the Reformation. The author traces the history of theological debate in the Church of England and seeks to locate the teachings of Trinity College within it. The author argues in support of the teaching at Trinity College through the use of biblical and historical examples and denies that they hold the heretical views attributed to them. The author concludes by defending the right of Trinity College to teach these views, arguing that they are within the bounds of orthodoxy and that theological debate is necessary for a healthy church.
