This is the true first edition of this personal account of the Alaska gold rush era. Ed Lung was a young accountant in Tacoma, Washington when he heard that gold was found in the Klondike and set out to find his fortune. Lung paints a vivid picture of Dawson at the height of its prosperity with its gamblers, prostitutes, cutthroats, Indians, Mounties and desperadoes.
