Bound in blind embossed and bright gilt lettered ruled and illustrated full Morocco leather rubbed to joints and extremities, bumped with slight loss to upper corners, inner gilt ruling and gilt edge dentelles, rubbed spine with closed tears to spine at hinge heads with good shelf presence featuring 4 bright gilt ruled and illustrated raised bands and gilt text. Great illustrations in this good addition to the library of reader and scholar alike.

Twelve volumes, each bound in green cloth with gilt title on the spine, gilt and and blindstamped decorations to the front and back boards. Hinge and text blocks firm, no inscriptions or book plates, green end papers. Closed pages edges rough cut. Engraved illustrations throughout each volume. Some volumes' bindings are showing more wear, some pulling at spine heads, volume XII has half inch splits at each side of the spine head and Volume V has a longer split here. The pages are browned but generally smooth and clear, there is the odd incident of brown spotting, there are some ink blotches to one or two pages in Volume XII. It is overall a nice, tidy complete set. May incur additional postage charges overseas.
