It is the second volume of 'Collectanea Adamantaea' part VI., a series of works privately printed in Edinburgh near the end of the 19th century. The present volume contains four examples of ancient popular poetry, with bibliographical information. Contents are: How a Merchande Dyd His Wife Betray; How the Wise Man Taught His Son; The Life and Death of Tom Thumbe; and The Lovers' Quarrel: or, Cupid's Triumph. There is a glossary at the end of the book. The book is sewn-bound in the original card covers with parchment wrapper and black titling on the front. The book is in very good condition with shelf wear and some soiling to the parchment wrapper and chipping to the spine ends. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription.…
