Reginald Brabazon, 12th Earl of Meath (1841-1929) was very involved in many charitable organisations and was Chief Scout Commissioner for Ireland - activities discussed in this book. He originated the idea of celebrating Empire Day and strongly supported of woman's suffrage. An ardent imperialist, he ultimately was appointed as member of the short-lived Senate of Southern Ireland established by the 1920 Home Rule Act. Spine well used, but lettering clear and binding tight.
