The Guam Recorder was published by the U.S. Navy from March 1924 until November 1941. It was a monthly news and information publication that also included Guam vital statistics; it ceased publication after its November 1941 issue due to World War II when the Japanese took over the island. Howard F. Bowker was Associate Editor and then Editor of the monthly from December, 1937 through August, 1939. This collection is from the Bowker estate.
