Long esteemed by critics and readers alike, her work is well worth the read. AFTERWORD : Jane Cooper (1924 - 2007) Jane Cooper was, herself, a poet, and the recipient of many awards. INTRODUCTORY NOTE : Richard Howard (1929 - 2002)Was a teacher and a Pulitzer Prize Poet and winner of The National Book Award, among other significant achievements.
