In Siracusa, nelle Regie Stampe di D. Francesco Maria Pulejo, 1796, in-4 piccolo, legatura coeva in cartone rustico, pp. VI, 117. Rarissima edizione siciliana non censita in ICCU (la prima, anch'essa rara, era stata stampata a Napoli nel 1794) di questo trattatello sulle febbri e sulla composizione e l'uso della "polvere di James" o "fever powder", un rimedio inventato dal medico inglese Robert James (1703-1776), membro del Royal College of Physicians. Nonostante la sua efficacia non venne mai verificata (dal '900 è infatti considerata "quackery", una ciarlataneria), la polvere di James circolò dal 1747, data del suo brevetto che portò nelle casse di James ingenti guadagni, fino quasi al XX secolo. Firma di possesso al frontespizio. Esemplare molto buono.
