Dodds inspects the spiritual, social, educational and ecclesiastical ?relations? of the Sunday school with the sort of earnest seriousness usually reserved for international treaties and misplaced umbrellas. Inside you will encounter: Chapters that treat punctuality and hymn-singing as matters of high strategic importance. Detailed reflections on how to shepherd small, restless humans toward godliness armed only with a Bible, a blackboard and unshakable moral certainty. The thrilling question of whether the Sunday school belongs more to the Church, the home, or that most formidable institution of all: the superintendent. An almost touching confidence that if you just organise the children properly, the world will follow. And now, the condition , which is frankly ridiculous. This copy is officially graded Fine , but let?s be honest: for a book printed in 1896 , it?s flirting shamelessly with As New .
