For most literary scholars the latter definitely is a robinsonade, which is a general term used for narrations and novels written and published after Defoe s Robinson Crusoe. For others it is not seen as such, and some just see parts of this genre in the novel. Even if the opinions differ, it is obvious that there is a certain nearness to the robinsonades. Some aspects of the novel might make it difficult to arrange it into this genre. Conspicuous is that the different contributions are not drawn upon the same basics. The question that arises is: What is a robinsonade This question is answered in different ways by the critics, so that this seems to be the real problem. There are considerations to this topic, which strongly lean on Daniel Defoe s novel 'Robinson Crusoe' , and which see the structure and aspects of this work not as a basis but as a guideline. Next to this there are other theories, which have a more unattached usage of this topic. They both have in common that there is no general consensus about a definition or a hold onto special criteria.In the first part of my term paper I want to give a brief overview of the character of the robinsonade, the features of the genre, and I will present some examples I have chosen from the ocean of robinsonades that already exist. I will not refer to Defoe s 'Robinson Crusoe' in this part as much as I would like to, because this would blast my term paper. In the second part I will analyse Golding s 'Lord of the flies' in the respect of the worked out criteria, to find out whether it is a robinsonade or not. For this I will also have a deeper look in Defoe s novel, so it will be a comparison of the novels 'Lord of the flies' and 'Robinson Crusoe'.

That is why anglicisms are found especially in those fields which bring or brought technological innovations into everyday life: the information technology (computer), the service area (autoleasing), the leisure industry (Trendsportarten) and the culture of the youth (Popmusik) whose taste of music and way-of-life is coined predominant by English-speaking areas. Until now there is a large number of papers and books written about the English influence on the German language, for example Broder Carstensen, Werner Betz, Manfred Görlach, René Appel and Pieter Muysken, to name just a view.In my paper I don t want to write about anglicisms of the fields mentioned above.The task of this written assignment was to analyse in what respect anglicisms appear in Greifswald s bakeries: For this I will, first of all, define the term anglicism from a linguistic perspective, and I will give an overview of the processes of adopting words with all their distinctive and characteristic features in their formation. For this I will go into terms like loanword and foreign word. This theoretical framework will help me to analyse afterwards the practical examples which I collected from four bakeries in the inner-city of Greifswald (namely: Backfactory, De Mäklenbörger, Marckwardt and Stadtbäckerei Junge).

Moreover, they could make a considerable contribution to understanding, speaking and learning English as an EFL student. A more detailed argumentation why pupils could particularly benefit from reading literature in the English classroom and how this could be done from the didactic perspective of a teacher will be dealt with in the following. The short story 'The Exit Door Leads In' by Philip K. Dick will therefore serve as an example of approaching literature in the EFL class. Since the story can be classified as a science fiction narrative, the SF aspect in English literature at school will also be a very important point to deal with.However, before starting with the methodology of teaching English literature by means of Dick's 'The Exit Door Leads In', some general questions have to be put and answered. At first, it must be clarified why it is of such a great importance to teach and read literature in the English classroom. The double plays an important role in literature: it portays confusion and transformation, reflects inner desires and spreads anxiety. But the phenomenon is not just an invention of literature. Again and again people claim to see oneself like some famous persons such as Catharine the Great and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.This term paper will analyze the Double-motif in Robert Louis Stevenson's novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with regard to psychoanalysis. While citing secondary literature it became obvious that a good portion of these examinations use psychological criteria which offer a wider range of insight into the oddly logic of Stevenson's text which he to no purpose named The Strange Case.Three texts from Freud lend themselves to work with the novel: 'Die 'kulturelle' Sexualmoral und die moderne Nervosität' (1908), 'Das Unheimliche' (1919) and 'Das Unbehagen in der Kultur' (1930). In 'Das Unheimliche' Freud deals with the background of the double motif. He interprets the phenomenon from its probable beginning in mythology till the masterly usage of it in E.T.A Hoffmann's 'Sandman'.In section two of this term paper I will give an overview of the double motif in literature. For this, I will explain the development of the term and its psychological implications. The third section will constitute the main part of the paper: I will first discuss two moments which can be interpreted with the help of psychology and then I will try to apply Freud's theorems to the primary source which is full of repressed drives and desires.

Throughout the literary world, she is renowned for her skills in novel writing (cf. Trickett 162). Among other qualities, Austen has particularly been acknowledged for being a 'dazzling satirist of snobbery and elitism' (Byrne 2). Concerning her novels, Emma, being published in 1816, is nowadays seen as Austen's greatest achievement (cf. Mansell 146). Even early critics acknowledged that the special nature of this novel in comparison to what she had written before (cf. Byrne 32). According to Odmark, Emma particularly reflects how Austen successfully established and further developed methods of writing used in her earlier novels (cf. Odmark 24). The success of Emma can also be seen in the fact that it was the first of Austen's novels which was reviewed by a famous author of her time, Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832) (cf. Byrne 32). Scott particularly pointed to the 'naturalness' and 'pervasive realism' Austen employed in Emma (Trickett 163). However, he also claimed that this novel had not much of a story in the traditional narrative sense (cf. Trickett 168). While the climax of a story is normally reached through a number of incidents and adventures, Austen's Emma does not present such features (cf. Trickett 168). What is most important about this novel was summed up by the novelist Thomas Henry Lister, who praised Austen for her 'rare and difficult art of making her readers intimately acquainted with the characters' of her novel (qtd. in Trickett 165). He moreover stated that Austen's novel provides the feeling of having literally lived among these characters; 'and yet she employs no elaborate description - no metaphysical analysis - no antithetical balance of their good and bad qualities. She scarcely does more than make them act and talk [.].' (qtd. in Trickett 165). In Emma, the characters themselves are thus more important than the plot in the traditional sense. This is why critics often categorize Emma and other works by Austen as 'novels of manners' (Marsh 28). In a novel of manners, the writer scrutinizes and minutely presents the characters' behaviour (cf. Marsh 28). These specific manners, in turn, serve to reflect the characters' moral attitudes (cf. Odmark 11). By analysing these, the reader is thus enabled to understand the deeper structure of the novel and the inner-lying messages of it (cf. Marsh 28).

Jahrhunderts. Goethe formuliert es so: [die] wahrste[n] Ausgeburt des Siebenjährigen Krieges, von vollkommenem norddeutschen Nationalgehalt, muß ich hier vor allen ehrenvoll erwähnen; es ist die erste aus dem bedeutenden Leben gegriffene Theaterproduktion, von spezifisch temporärem Gehalt, die deswegen eine nie zu berechnende Wirkung tat. Die vorliegende Hausarbeit ist eine Verschriftlichung unseres Referates vom 19.11.2008 im Hauptseminar Verhandeln im Drama um 1800 . In dem Vortrag ging es um die Personenkonstellation in Lessings Minna von Barnhelm , sowie um die vertraglichen Beziehungen, die zwischen den Personen vorliegen könnten. In meiner Verschriftlichung werde ich zunächst auf Lessings Lustspieltheorie eingehen und wie sie sich von der Theorie Gottscheds unterscheidet. Das Hauptaugenmerk werde ich dann auf das enge Netz der Charaktere legen. Ich werde mit den beiden Hauptfiguren beginnen und mit den wichtigsten Nebenfiguren fortfahren, indem ich ihr Verhalten, ihre Auffassungen und ihre Beziehungen untereinander analysieren werde. Jede Person im Stück ist einzigartig und beeinflusst das Geschehen auf ihre eigene Art und Weise. Aber (fast) allen gemeinsam ist die große Relevanz des Geldes und die Verträge, die nicht schriftlich und auch nicht offenkundig sind, aber in juristischen Rahmenbedingungen liegen.

Ich möchte außerdem in meinem Praktikum meinen Blick für die Details, die den Unterricht erfolgreich bzw. nicht so erfolgreich machen, schärfen. Dies wird mir helfen, später selbst einen guten Unterricht zu gestalten.Dazu werde ich hauptsächlich die 1.Klasse der Grundschule besuchen. Obwohl man die drei in dem ESM bestehenden Schulteile (Schule zur individuellen Lebensbewältigung (SIL), Grundschule mit Hort, Integrierte Gesamtschule (IGS)) auf Grund der vielfältigen Verflechtungen nicht voneinander getrennt betrachten kann, werde ich schwerpunktmäßig die Grundschule beobachten.

'Der Ph[ysiologus] ist ein Zeugnis frühchr[istlicher]- m[ittel]a[lterlicher] Spiritualität, welche die geschaffene Natur als Kosmos von Zeichen verstand, durch die Gott zum Menschen spricht.' Dieser Satz fasst jenes Werk zusammen, das im Mittelpunkt der vorliegenden Arbeit steht. Durch seine Wirkungsgeschichte, jahrhundertelange Weitergabe und reichhaltigen Handschriften hat diese Schrift eine Sonderstellung in der Geschichte der Literatur. Im Mittelalter hatte der Physiologus neben der Bibel einen sehr hohen Stellenwert und galt lange als Vorbild bei der geistlich-moralischen Exegese und Naturlehre. Die kleinen Geschichten wurden als 'Berichte realer Naturgegebenheiten' betrachtet und schon in der Spätantike wurden sie durch Augustin 'als 'unwahr' im naturwiss[enschaftlichem] Sinn erkannt'. Dies schränkte jedoch nicht Geltung des Physiologus ein. So behielt er lange seine Vormachtstellung als ''Buch der Natur', in dem der Mensch die Offenbarung Gottes 'lesen' kann'.Die Bezeichnung Physiologus stammt von dem griechischen Wort , was Naturforscher oder Naturkundiger bedeutet. Was es aber genau bedeutet und wie dieses Werk beschaffen ist, soll in der folgenden Arbeit untersucht werden. Dafür wird zunächst über allgemeine Charakteristiken und die Entstehungsgeschichte des Physiologus informiert. Danach liegt der Fokus auf dem altdeutschen Physiologus, aber insbesondere auf der Millstätter Reimfassung, wie sie von Friedrich Maurer herausgegeben wurde. Diese ist auch Ausgangspunkt für die spätere Analyse der Tiere in dieser Arbeit. Jedoch sollen in einem weiteren Kapitel vorher noch die Grundlagen der Schriftsinne der mittelalterlichen Hermeneutik beleuchtet werden.Den Abschluss bildet das fünfte Kapitel, das eine kurze Zusammenfassung dieser Arbeit geben wird.
