Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book charters the interlinked genealogies of three prominent families from Massachusetts in the 17th and 18th centuries: the Dickinsons, the Littles, and the Woodbridges. It does so to shed light not simply on the lineages of these particular families but on the broader social and cultural landscape of the time. The author analyzes family ties by marriage, their religious affiliations, their professions, and their political activities; he also traces the routes of family migrations from England to Massachusetts and then, in later generations, from Massachusetts to new settlements further west. The analysis is thoroughly researched and amply documented, but it is also accessible and engaging to non-specialist readers. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
