Baby Weems was introduced in the Disney feature The Reluctant Dragon that was released in 1941 the same year as this book. Uncommon.

Illustrated throughout with in-text b/w drawings. With a "Foreword and a Protest" by Robert Benchley, who starred in the 1941 Disney film, The Reluctant Dragon, where Baby Weems appeared as a segment. Some very light, diffuse spotting to the covers; internally fine. Preserved in a very good first issue dust jacket which has only light wear at the tips and edges.

Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Title page and cr page both dated 1941, but first edition statement is not present. Both boards have what looks like a damp stain on the foredges, but there's no effect on the dustjacket or the interior. There is virtually no rubbing to the cloth. The dustjacket is not price-clipped, has the tiniest touches or rubbing at two corners and spine ends, and a very short closed tear at one corner. Overall this is a very attractive copy.

With matching dates but does not state First Edition and I believe this title should state. Illustrated throughout in black & white. There is some discoloration along the rear spine edge, otherwise very good and tight. Without names or bookplate. The dust jacket is faded along the spine. There is also some staining along the lower quarter of the front and halfway up from the lower spine end. This staining can be best seen from the underside. It is not so evident from the exterior. Also a few minor tears and light edge wear. Original price of $1.00 to the front flap. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall.

The scarce dustwrapper is present. It is rubbed at the edges and folds, and has a horizontal crease else is in very good condition and quite presentable. It is not price-clipped. Signed on the title page by the Disney animator-authors, both from the golden age of animation. Joe Grant He led the development of Pinocchio and co-wrote Fantasia, Dumbo and Saludos Amigos. After developinh Koko the Clown for Fleischer, Huemer joined DIsney where he was involved with Fantasia and Dumbo. .
