This is the second volume in a Series entitled "Journeys in Consciousness," a compilation of the extensive writings and transcriptions from the life of Charles DeTurk. They are all brought up-to-date and placed in a contemporary context with extensive commentary. In the process of sharing these writings we have a record of how a single individual, driven by curiosity, grows in understanding the wisdom and functioning of life and the universe of experience. In a day and age when we hear a lot about how people need to learn to "think outside of the box," Charles has been living a large part of his life outside of the box. And from that place of awareness, he has gathered together, over the years, some very interesting, meaningful, and insightful perspectives upon life and upon all of this stuff out here that we call reality. His goal, for decades, has been to discover ideas and principles that will help people to be able to rediscover the truths about who and what they truly are, and to thereby allow them to live more happy, healthy, successful and fulfilling lives. Paperback. Condición: new. Paperback. "Synergetic Systems Seminar" is the full text of the beginning of a comprehensive Seminar designed in the final years of the late 20th Century. The Seminar was created as an outlet for sharing ideas, concepts, and techniques regarding alternative perspectives upon the reality, and the systems that monopolize, our lives. Charles envisioned the Seminar being presented for four hours a night over six consecutive nights for a total of 24-hours. Because he has a penchant for taking off upon occasional tangents when speaking extemporaneously, Charles decided to produce the Seminar word for word so that he would cover all of the material that he envisioned. As the Seminar unfolded, however, it began to take on a reality of its own, causing Charles to realize that in addition to being a verbal, teaching Seminar, that this production was also going to be a "show." As the entertainment aspects of the presentation coalesced in his mind, he became concerned about the physical and mental requirements of putting on this Seminar/Show six nights a week and then traveling on to another location to do the same thing all over again for six more nights might be a bit too much. The apparent "fix" for this challenge was to present the Seminar/Show one time for video/audio recording and then sell the resulting product. This idea carried its own challenges, however, in the realization of how much work and money goes into creating a professional audio/video presentation. So, the thrust of the energy for the Seminar began to shift to merely writing what he had to share in a book. That book will be entitled, "Millennium Paradigm: Explorations In The Dynamics Of Consciousness," (MP) and is in the early production phase. The Synergetic Systems Seminar, therefore, went into a holding pattern at about the 8-hour mark. After publishing his first book, "What We Believe That Makes Us Different: A New Thought Journey Through An Orthodox Land," Charles rediscovered many of his previous unpublished writings in numerous boxes, about 3 quarters of a million words, all told, or several books worth. He quickly realized that those writings were the foundation for the major volume (MP) that he has been working toward for decades. And he further knew that they were just the right fertile soil to introduce people to the modes of thinking that were going to make up much of this upcoming book.
