"Richd Johnson" written in ink towards top of title page has slightly marked back of map. Worm track (in inner margin near top) near start (pages viii to 10) has caused slight damage; further worm track affects pages 97 to end in a similar place mostly just one tiny hole. No text loss. Very clean tight text (all collated complete) has occasional slight spotting. Small "Bodmin Institution" library label on front pastedown (with their shelf number in ink) but no other library marks. Likely contemporary full leather. Decorated spine has Gold on burgundy title label (bit chipped and a couple of letters lost).Rear cover weakening and front cover only holding by joints. Title cartouche in lower right segment of chart. d Anville was a noted French cartographer, born in 1697 and active since the age of 15. He provided many of the charts for Rollins historical volumes, and was emulated by many future cartographers.
