Publisher's maroon, gilt extra and black decorated boards in a lively manner. All edges gilt. Slt mark to front cover, Edges boards slty rubbed of a little colour, tail edge spine ver slty frayed. Very slty shaken in case, occas. slt text marking, Inscription on end paper reading "Joan Abbott, March 1907" but probably published circa 1890 as this has the Novello devices instead of the Dalziel ones, has no ads. and is in maroon cum brown cloth. Not that it matters much as most issues seem to be almost identical. With many fine woodcut illustrations printed by the Dalziel Brothers. A VERY pleasing copy.
