As mentioned on several earlier listings, and to be repeated on many more, I have a lot of nice books about natural resources and forestry acquired over the decades of my career which I have been reluctant to offer for sale. However, push has come to shove and there is no more space on my bookshelves. So, I am pleased to be able to offer you a very nice copy of: Trees for the Tropics Growing Australian Multipurpose Trees and Shrub in Developing Countries by D.J. Boland, Editor. This medium-sized softcover book (6 ¾ x 9 ½ inches, 247 pages) was published by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), Canberra and dated 1989. This is Number 10 of the ACIAR s peer-reviewed Monograph Series, distributed internationally and with an emphasis on the Third World. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There is some very light edge wear but the soft covers still maintain their high glossy finish. Inside, there is a former owner s name inked into the front endpaper (with my regrets, as it is my name!) but that is the only mark or blemish I found on the book. The binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.

Looks at the use of Australian trees and shrubs through experimental use in China, Kenya, Thailand and Zimbabwe. Includes uses as fuel wood, essential oil production, fodder, nitrogen fixation and more. Examines suitability for the various regions discussed and includes termite susceptibility. Trees in the study include Eucalypts, Acacia, Melaleuca, Leptospermum as well as information on some lesser known species. Size: 8vo.

Soft cover. Condición: Very Good. Covers & Spine: front and back showing light scuffing otherwise clean and undamaged, minimal wear at edges and corners, spine is intact and solid. Binding: firm throughout. Pages & Markings: only stain is small (1cm) black mark on outside edge of pages, only marking is name of previous owner top of title page which has been untidily crossed out with texta.
