A horizontal tear right across pp.49/50 in volume IV. Moderate general spotting and toning throughout, with heavier thumbing to fore-edge of volume I. Black ink ownership of J.B. Crompton to fly-leaf of each volume, dated 1794, and very small black ink ownerships to each title page, dated 1766. Moderate wear and bumping to bindings; joints split or starting, with sturdy cloth reinforcements to all hinges. Good.
