Ther particpated at Antietam, Stone River, Tullahoma, Chickamaugua, Chattanooga, Frankin, Nashville and beyond. They trained, fought and scouted together, were captured and furloughed, played and consorted with each other and their enemies. Their story was compiled from original sources by their niece, Suzanne Colton Wilson. Deaccessioned from the War Library of a national military history organization with their bookplate on the verso of the front endpaper. The Coltens kept detailed diaries and addressed a variety of things. There are four folding maps that detail the travels of the two brothers and their regiment.
