'Volume I, Part One: "Signatures" (1917-42) includes Maya Deren's schoolgirl letters, articles she wrote for socialist youth journals in the Thirties, as well as her correspondence, poetry, fiction and essays from that period, published here together for the first time. In addition, her life history between 1917 and 1942 is further documented by interviews with friends and family, photographs and other visual material.' This and Volume I, Part Two were available both as a set and separately, and comprised issues 72-75 of Jonas Mekas' 'Film Culture'. Very Good, with mild dustiness to the head edge and a few spots/marks to the tail edge, the boards also a little marked, the jacket creased to a corner of the upper flap, a touch faded to the red parts of the spine (not affecting legibility), slightly rubbed with a 2cm closed split to the upper spine fold, but Very Good all in all.
