He had many of his novels staged in theater productions and adapted into films during the silent era.Villains Galore: The Heyday of the Popular Story Weekly (1954) by Mary NoelDrum (1962) by Kyle Onstott. Tells the story of three generations of slaves, and of the men who owned them. Onstott is recognised for his settings of plantations and of the lives of enslaved African Americans, best known for his novel Mandingo, which was adapted as a 1975 feature film. In the original cloth bindings. With the publisher's dust wrappers, all unclipped except for 'Villains Galore'.Externally, very smart, with mild rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Dust wrappers are smart, with edge wear. Chips and damp stains to the wrap of 'Drum' and sunning to the spine and a damp stain to 'Iron Wil'. Internally, firmly bound.
