Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. 1st Edition. Very Good in a Good publisher's slipcase. First Edition, First Printing (1959). Two volumes complete: Vol. I (1777-1804), li, 288 pp.; Vol. II (1812-1826), viii, [289]-638 pp. Octavo. Bound in publisher's original rust-colored cloth with spines ruled in black, stamped with decorative gilt stars, and titled in bright gilt; UNC Press crests stamped in black on lower spines. Illustrated with frontispiece portraits, facsimile letters, and historic contemporary plates. Cappon provides extensive contextual introductions, detailed historical annotations, and comprehensive indexing.…
