Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Near Fine. No Jacket. A teal cloth bound, hardback book, with lilac/blue coloured titles running along the spine. Comes with nice, clean, not price clipped, dust jacket. This wonderful book is in first class condition, however as it is a used book, normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. It looks like the book has hardly been used or read. 224 pages, all intact and nice tight binding. Please note this is a heavy item to post therefore postage/shipping abroad may increase from listed postage/shipping price depending on final destination. In 1890 John La Farge (1835-1910) and his friend the historian Henry Adams embarked on a journey to the islands of the South Pacific, where the artist experienced a period of great creative output. This book showcases many of the most important oils, watercolours, and sketches to come out of La Farge's year long voyage to the islands of the Pacific and Indian Oceans and is the first to place the artist's South Seas work in the broader context of exotic travel by artists and writers of the nineteenth century.

Añadir al carritoRevised Third Draft script for the 1987 film. INSCRIBED by actor Kristy Swanson on the title page to an unknown crew member. Based on the 1979 Gothic novel by Virginia C. Andrews, about the incestuous plight of four unlucky siblings whose mother abandons them in the attic of her family's decaying ancestral home after their father's death in an automobile accident. While Andrews' novel was wildly popular among teenage girl readers of the 1970s and 80s, test audiences were revolted by some of the film's more taboo scenes, leading producers to heavily re-cut the film and even create a new ending-a decision which Bloom purportedly despised and refused to direct. Partially set in Pennsylvania, shot on location in California and Massachusetts. Yellow untitled wrappers. Title page present, dated April 30, 1986, noted as REVISED THIRD DRAFT, with credits for screenwriter JEFFREY BLOOM and novelist V.C. ANDREWS. 123 leaves, with last page of text numbered 122. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound with three gold brads. Signed.
