Cherkovski reproduces many of his favorite Bukowski poems and little fragments of prose and then analyzes them insightfully in relation to the Bukowski's life. Cherkovski was a good friend of Bukowski during the late Sixties, and his tales of their exploits together will make the average Bukowski reader jealous. Cherkovski's compassion and respect for his subject are almost heartwarmingly ever-present. He gives fans and nonfans alike another, if not totally different, picture of the great Bukowski.…

Condición: Near Fine. First Edition. Vol. 1 Issue 1. Limited edition. Signed on verso of front cover in sharpie by Charles Bukowski, Neeli Cherkovski (twice, once as alias "Fred Dyer"), Harold Norse, and what must have been a very drunk Steve Richmond. Small illustration that appears to be a combined effort of Cherkovski and Bukowski. Numbered 9 in upper corner; this appears to be one of a very few numbered copies perhaps signed at a collating party at Bukowski's house. 32 pp. Yellow stapled wraps. Fellow contributors include John Thomas, William Wantling, T.L. Kryss, Gerda Penfold, Douglas Blazek, and a few other kindred spirits. A high spot of '60s rebel poetry.…
