This had appeared in 1960 in the Angling Times Series, and in 1961 in German as Das Werfen von Rute and Rolle. Includes many trappings of its early owners, Walter and Lucy Brownley, including a lovely gifter's inscription and well-used family record pages (much of the notation made by someone with a clear flair for decorative penmanship), the receipt for the original purchase of the book, a clipping of hair, a badly faded 19th century photo of a baby, and several prayer cards, poems, and colorful clippings.
