Paperback. Condición: new. Paperback. Learning a new language is often a delightful chore, but it is still a chore none the less. We often memorize rules of grammar and sentence structure, and volumes of vocabulary words. We advance to phrases, and practice, practice, practice. Unless we have the opportunity to actually converse in the language we get discouraged quickly. Reading something that is fun and enjoyable is another way to escape the monotony of language study. "TOM WEST" Adventure in The South Pacific was written precisely for that reading audience. The Indonesian Teacher and Student who enjoys a novel story, and the Native English Speaker that would like to read Indonesian phrases and add to their vocabulary as well. Tom West is an American boy fresh out of High School, who moves with his uncle to Indonesia to start an Air Courier Business. He meets with trouble all along the way and works his way out of his predicaments with the help of his Indonesian friends. Tom is learning to be a pilot as well, and the story carries you into the Wild Blue Yonder with him as he completes his training. Follow Tom and his friends through this adventure and build you English and bahasa Indonesia skills as you read.
