The book was composed in the types of Frederick W. Goudy, and composition was begun on the 8th of March, 1965, being the one-hundredth anniversary of his birth. Errata slip laid in, as issued. Unedited transcription of Douglas's journal of his trip to California in 1841, made from the original journal held in the Provincial Archives of British Columbia.
