Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: New. In 2002 Jason Rhoades (1965-2006) introduced the world to PeaRoeFoam, a -brand new product and revolutionary new material- created from green peas, salmon eggs and white foam. When combined with glue, they transform into a versatile, fast-drying and durable material that he intended for both utilitarian as well as artistic uses. This publication examines and situates the PeaRoeFoam project within Rhoades' career and acknowledges its importance within the framework of his practice. It discusses and reproduces its initial three public presentations and includes archival documents and photographs, installation views of all three shows, as well as diagrams and drawings related to their creation. Also featured are a revealing personal essay by David Zwirner, who began showing Rhoades' work in the early 1990s, new scholarship by Julien Bismuth and selected interviews from the Jason Rhoades Oral History project, conceived by Lucas Zwirner and Dylan Kenny, who have interviewed over 50 artists, curators, friends, collaborators, art historians and others who knew the artist.

New York; Zurich, CH; Paris, FR, 2004. Printed by Oddi Printing in Iceland. English language. Softcover with spine. Texts with full-color photographs in the guise of a hunting magazine. 11 x 9 in. 28 x 23 cm. 10 oz. 38 pp. Use. Front cover slightly bows out. Text clean. Very Good Plus. ISBN: 1891027204. "Los Angeles-based cult artist Richard Jackson consistently uses his mistrust of conventional painting as a gateway to works that straddle the divide between the explicitly civilized and the wildly primordial. Born in 1939, Jackson emerged alongside the Minimal and Conceptual artists of the 1970s with whom he became associated, yet remained distant in terms of approach. Influenced by Abstract Expressionism and action painting, Jackson has built his career over three decades, exploring the limits of painterly practice. This wryly designed monograph fuses Jackson's two passions: art-making and hunting. Using the format of a hunting magazine, it showcases images from recent solo exhibitions at Haswellediger & Co., Nyehaus, Hauser & Wirth and Galerie Georges-Philippe & Nathalie Vallois and includes essays by Paul McCarthy, Bozidar Brazda, Julian Bismuth and Carissa Rodriguez.".

They published three first titles, "Life before the world", "The world before time", and "A Hold!". "No Drama House", is a book where Flavien introduces the situation of a house made of problems, a house creating life situations. This house will be more later, built in Berlin in the Gallery Garden Giti Nourbakhsch. Other books are related with Flavien's house projects, notably the Viewer being a building appearing in all first books with dinosaur drawings, will the subject a book with the same title, and another book "Forgotten times and moments". In 2006, Flavien and Bismuth take place with a pilot aboard a small boat and reach the sea of Rio de Janeiro, not far from Cagarras Islands. At the moment, they float and launch a distress flare when the boat leading the public appears on the horizon. As the boat approaches, they gradually change means of communication, semaphores, flags maritime, megaphone. This performance entitled "Splash!" will also be at the heart of a book covering the text and photos of the meeting. The event will be recreated on the Thames in London, on the occasion of a invitation from Tate Modern. List of the titles: 1-J.P. FLAVIEN - LIFE BEFORE THE WORD - 200 EX.; 2-J.P. Edited by Ziba Ardalan, with essays by Julien Bismuth & Marco Livingstone. To mark the occasion of the exhibition Shinro Ohtake, Parasol has produced a colour illustrated publication surveying the artist's output, mostly collage-based. From the publisher's description: "With an extensive, diverse and innovative body of works executed over the past thirty years, Shinro Ohtake has positioned himself as one of the most important creative forces in contemporary Japanese art. Ohtake's oeuvre includes drawing, pasted works, painting, sculpture, and photography, as well as experimental music and videos, but the activity of cutting and pasting is clearly his most powerful form of expression."
