Light wear to head spine and foot spine.; Piotr Biler is a Polish mathematician known for his work in partial differential equations (PDEs) , mathematical physics, and the theory of fluid dynamics. He was born in Poland in 1956 and went on to become a professor at the University of Warsaw. Biler's research has focused primarily on mathematical problems related to the behavior of solutions to certain types of PDEs, including those that describe the flow of fluids and the dynamics of biological systems. His work in mathematical analysis is highly regarded, particularly in the study of equations with non-linear and singular behavior. He has made significant contributions to understanding how these equations model complex real-world phenomena, such as patterns in natural systems and the movement of particles. Biler has published extensively in mathematical journals, and his work continues to be influential in the mathematical community, particularly in areas intersecting mathematics and physics. Alfred Witowski is a Polish mathematician known for his contributions to the fields of mathematical logic, set theory, and the philosophy of mathematics. Born in 1946, Witowski has had a long academic career, contributing to various foundational aspects of modern mathematics. His research interests have centered on the development and exploration of formal systems, the theory of computability, and the logical underpinnings of mathematical practice. Witowski is also noted for his work on the formalization of mathematical proofs and the interaction between set theory and logic. In addition to his research, Witowski has taught at the University of Warsaw and mentored students in the areas of logic and foundational mathematics. Throughout his career, he has been committed to exploring the deep connections between mathematical structures and their philosophical implications. His contributions continue to be respected in the field of mathematical logic.; 23.4 x 16 x 2 cms; 227 pages. …
