After that, I will analyse Adele and Elton John by comparing them speak in an interview and then sing a song. Lastly, I will do a research about a few reasons of this phenomena of shifting accents when people are singing. The goal of this term paper is to see if there really is a shifting in accents when singing com- pared to speaking and gain a bit of understanding why, if that is the case. Language is the most important tool of communication. It involves every aspect of our life. When we are happy, sad or angry about something we often express our emo- tions through words. Today, thousands of languages are spoken and every language has different accents and dialects. Interestingly, sometimes it seems like a person changes their accent for different matters. When it comes to English, I was always drawn to the difference in accents and the one I like the most is the British one. Throughout the years I noticed how I sometimes struggled to connect a singer to his or her origin or region they are from because they sound so different when they are singing to when they are speaking. For the purpose of this paper, Adele and Elton John will serve as examples.

The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne is a literary work that has academic value and is often classified as required reading in classes. It was published 1850 and tells the story of a woman in Puritan times who has to face the consequences of committing adultery. The novel represents the Puritan society and the way women were treated in that time. It gives attention on the ideology and gives many details in which today¿s readers can imagine the struggle of obedience to the system.

Da Novalis seinen Roman als Gegenentwurf schrieb, ist es wichtig, beide Romane im Kontrast zu behandeln. Der Fokus der Arbeit liegt auf den romantischen Bildungsdiskursen, die in beiden Romanen unterschiedlich bearbeitet werden. Die Forschungsfrage lautet: Wie unterscheiden sich die romantischen Bildungsdiskurse in den Romanen Heinrich von Ofterdingen von Novalis und Wilhelm Meisters Lehrjahre von Goethe Zunächst werden Bildungsbegriff und die romantischen Bildungsdiskurse eingeleitet und erklärt, da sie wichtig für die Analyse der Texte sind. Daraufhin beginnt die Analyse der Romane, dessen Fokus auf den jeweiligen Protagonisten und Lehrfiguren liegt. Anschließend folgt ein Vergleich der beiden Analysekapiteln und abschließend werden die Ergebnisse zusammengeführt und präsentiert. Die Bildung eines Menschen gilt als Werkzeug kollektiver Selbstfindung. Im Romanfragment Heinrich von Ofterdingen von Novalis ist Bildung von Bedeutung, da sie zur Erkundung und Anpassung der inneren Welt dient . Der Protagonist des Fragments Heinrich von Ofterdingen träumt von einer blauen Blume, die ihn von einer Poetik prägt und ihn somit zum Dichter macht. Der Künstlerroman Heinrich von Ofterdingen stellt einen Gegenentwurf zu Goethes Wilhelm Meisters Lehrjahre dar.
