Since most human activities harmful to wildlife and its essential habitat occur on private land, preservation of private habitat is essential. Successful implementation of CSCP was found to be dependent on a strong bottom-up, democratic approach to policy implementation by CDOW - perhaps best characterized as interactive symbiosis - that includes the literature-based concepts of successful implementation: value-added through discretion, mutual adaptation, policy learning and incentives. Additionally, CDOW understood the political, economic and social contexts that affected CSCP implementation. 424 pp. Englisch.
