Gilles Deleuze beschreibt in ,Differenz und Wiederholung" zwei Typen von Wiederholung: eine statische, die aus dem Werk resultiert, und eine dynamisc…he, die die Evolution der Geste betrifft. Diese dynamische Wiederholung, die durch den Ruckkoppelungsprozess im Video-Feedback-System entsteht, manifestiert sich als Rhythmus zwischen Ordnung und Chaos. Andre Leroi-Gourhan betrachtet das System als Schopfer von Raum, Zeit, Form und Muster, wobei Rhythmus als dynamischer Prozess verstanden wird, der neue Formen generiert. Das Video-Feedback-Material wird in schwarz-weiss bearbeitet, um Kontraste zu betonen. Bei der Bearbeitung konzentriert sich das Interesse auf Raum und Zeit, was zu Mutationen fuhrt, die in Muster umgewandelt werden. Die Bearbeitung erfolgt mit Tools aus dem Konsumerbereich, wobei Uberlagerungen und Reduktionen von Halbbildern neue visuelle Strukturen schaffen. Die Wiederholung konstituiert ein Muster, das durch die Bildfrequenz und das Flimmern beim Video-Feedback beeinflusst wird. Die Verbindung von Bewegtbild und Klang wird als selbstverstandlich wahrgenommen, doch es geht um die Manipulation der visuellen Wahrnehmung durch Klang. Die Beziehung zwischen Bild und Klang ist entscheidend, wobei Klang die Wahrnehmung der Bewegung beeinflusst und eine Interaktivitat der Sinne beim Rezipient.
