Both were students in the same class at Dartmouth, graduating in 1804, and taught by Asa Burton (1752-1836) a Congregational clergyman "best known as a teacher of theology. The number of candidates for the ministry which he trained wholly or in part, is variously estimated at from sixty to a hundred,"(DAB). OCLC shows only 10 copies. Shaw & Shoemaker 263. Sabin 9490n. A very good copy with soiling to the title page along with gift inscription (trimmed), some foxing to last leaf.
