Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the early history of Bible translations, specifically the ancient Syriac translations of the New Testament. It focuses on the Diatessaron, a groundbreaking work by Tatian, a prominent early Christian apologist. Written in the 2nd century, the Diatessaron was a harmony of the four Gospels, blending them into a single narrative. The author examines the Diatessaron's origins, authorship, and historical significance within the development of the New Testament canon. Through meticulous analysis of ancient texts, the book sheds light on the complexities and controversies surrounding this pivotal work, providing a valuable resource for scholars and those interested in the history of biblical interpretation. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
